Product Details:
Decayed hardwood leaves collected from the forest floors of North Carolina. This leaf litter is in the staple diet for detritivores such as Isopods, beetles, and millipedes. This is an organic product free of pesticides and other chemicals.

Specialty Leaves:
The specialty addition of fig leaves provides a highly nutritious option for pickier detritivores and is the preferred option for many species when given the option amongst other leaf litter (as seen in one of our photos!).

Sterilization:
All leaf litter is kept frozen in one of our freezers before purchase. This is to prevent pests and unwanted hitchhikers from contaminating the product, allowing you to safely add it to your terrarium without fear of unwanted guests. Freezing keeps the beneficial nutrients intact unlike heat treating methods.

Instructions:
Apply generously to the top layer of the substrate.
