Beautiful little catfish with personality!

These tiny little species of Cory cats (Corydoras pygmaeus), are active sand-sifters and just love to dig around in little schools. Stunning for their iridescent black and white striping highlights, Pygmy Corys only grow to a maximum of 1" (males slightly smaller), Just perfect for a ten- gallon tank!

Pygmy Corys are originally from India.

These display the best coloring and behavior while in groups of 6+, and will thrive on sinking pellets and frozen foods. 

While omnivorous, they will not bother other community fish, plants or inverts such as shrimp and snails!

Your little Corys will be young, without full adult coloration, and between 1/4" to 1/2" long.

Care Parameters:

  • Peaceful scavenging community fish
  • Growth to a maximum of 1"
  • 3-5 year life span


Undemanding Water Parameters:
  • PH: 6.5 - 7.5
  • Temperature: 72- 79 Degrees
  • Hardness: 6- 10 dH
