Wax Apple Plant 3 Gallon Pot - Syzygium Javanicum - 2 to 3 Feet Tall Tropical Fruit Tree
Wax Apple Plant Overview
The Wax Apple plant, also known as Wax Jambu (Syzygium javanicum), is a tropical fruit tree that grows 2 to 3 feet tall and is shipped in a 3-gallon pot. This edible plant produces crisp, refreshing fruit with a subtle rosewater flavor, making it a delightful addition to summer fruit salads and fresh eating.
Key Features
- Height ranges from 2 to 3 feet at delivery
- Comes in a 3-gallon pot for easy transplanting
- Fruits mature within 1 to 2 years
- Available in multiple varieties including Red, Pink, White, and Green
- Ideal for harvesting during summer months
- Commonly consumed fresh or in salads
- Requires biannual pruning for maintenance
Growing Information
The Wax Apple thrives in full sun to partial shade and prefers well-draining, loamy soil. Moderate watering is recommended, allowing the soil to dry out between waterings. It is suitable for USDA hardiness zones 10-11. With proper pruning, the tree can be maintained at a height of 10 to 12 feet, making it manageable for home gardens and patios.
