  • Winners announced within 1 week of contest close.

How to Enter

  • Eligibility: Open to USA residents, ages 18+, with a valid email address.
  • Submission:
  • Upload 1 photo of your pet (any species) via [submission link].
  • Include your pet’s name, species, and a fun fact or short story.
  • Optional: Tag us on social media with #WCPetsContest for bonus entries.
  • Entry Limit: 1 entry per household. Multiple pets in one photo allowed.

Photo Guidelines

  • Must feature your own pet(s).
  • No professional photography required—phone pics welcome!
  • Photos must be family-friendly, original, and not previously published.
  • No filters or heavy editing; natural photos preferred.

Judging Criteria

  • Cuteness & personality
  • Creativity & originality
  • Photo quality (lighting, focus, composition)
  • Story or fun fact

Winner Selection

  • Judged by Walnut Creek Pets team and/or guest judges.
  • Top 3 winners + honorable mentions.
