Blue Mountain Hay High-Altitude Timothy Hay Pellets Horse Feed, 40-lb
Blue Mountain Timothy Hay Easy Flake Box for Horses
Blue Mountain Hay High-Altitude Timothy Hay Pellets Horse Feed provides a convenient and consistent way to add quality grass-based forage to your horse’s daily feeding program. Made from high-altitude-grown Timothy hay and formed into easy-to-feed pellets, this forage option offers a practical alternative or complement to traditional baled hay. The pelleted format makes measuring, storing, and feeding simple while helping minimize sorting, dust, and forage waste. Timothy hay pellets can be fed dry or soaked with water to create a softer texture, making them especially convenient for travel, boarding, or horses that have difficulty chewing long-stem forage. Introduce any new feed gradually and adjust feeding amounts according to your horse’s individual nutritional needs and overall diet.

FAQ
Can I soak these Timothy Hay Pellets?
Yes. The pellets can be soaked with water to soften them and increase moisture in the meal.
Are Timothy Hay Pellets suitable for senior horses?
Soaked hay pellets can be a convenient forage option for some senior horses or horses with difficulty chewing long-stem hay. Horses with dental or medical concerns should be evaluated by a veterinarian for appropriate feeding recommendations.
How much should I feed my horse?
The appropriate amount depends on your horse’s body weight, age, activity level, body condition, and other feeds or forage in the diet. Follow the manufacturer’s feeding directions and consult an equine nutrition professional when needed.
How should I introduce Timothy Hay Pellets?
Introduce the pellets gradually over several days, particularly when replacing or reducing another forage source. Gradual dietary changes help horses adjust to a new feed.
How should Timothy Hay Pellets be stored?
Store the pellets in a cool, clean, and dry location. Keep the package or feed container securely closed and protected from moisture, pests, excessive heat, and contamination.
