Farfugium Shishi Botan Tractor Seat – 2 Exact Live Starter Plants, 2-Inch Size – Farfugium japonicum

This listing includes 2 Farfugium japonicum ‘Shishi Botan’ live starter plants in the 2-inch nursery pot size category. The seller describes these as exact plants, meaning you will receive the specific plants shown in the listing photographs. Their foliage and overall appearance may change naturally between photography and shipment.

Farfugium japonicum ‘Shishi Botan’ is an ornamental perennial recognized for its distinctive curled, ruffled, and deeply textured green foliage. It belongs to the daisy family, Asteraceae, and is related to the broader group of plants commonly called Leopard Plant or Tractor Seat Plant.

Unlike the broad, relatively smooth leaves associated with some other Farfugium selections, ‘Shishi Botan’ is valued for its irregular, tightly curled leaf edges and sculptural foliage. Its unusual leaf texture makes it suitable for shaded ornamental plant collections and decorative containers.

This perennial generally prefers partial to full shade, organically rich, well-draining soil, and consistent moisture without prolonged waterlogging. It is suitable for shaded garden settings in appropriate climates and can also be maintained in containers.

Natural variation in size, branching, foliage density, color, root structure, and overall appearance should be expected.

Important Note:

You will receive a live starter plant (seedling/young plant). Listing photos show the plant at a mature stage for reference only. The actual plant size, shape, and appearance may vary and will be significantly smaller than the images shown.

Customer Notice:

Live plants may experience normal shipping stress such as leaf loss, yellowing, wilting, or minor branch damage.

Please consider local weather before purchasing. Extreme heat, freezing temperatures, severe weather, shipping delays, or unattended packages may increase plant stress.
